Learn the basics of Parallel Programming in Python in an intermediate level course given by the eScience Center. Python is widely used for scientific data analysis, visualization, and modeling, but it can be slower than lower-level languages and challenging to parallelize. This workshop tackles these issues, helping you efficiently run Python code in parallel on multiple cores. Discover suitable problems for parallel processing, create dependency diagrams, and dive into interactive programming. Gain insights into the performance and appropriate use of Dask, Numba, and asyncio methods.
The workshop is open and free to all researchers in the Netherlands at PhD candidate level and higher.
