October 24, 2025
I’m excited to share that the fifth edition of the National Open Science Festival will take place on October 24th, 2025, hosted by the University of Groningen and the UMCG!
Following inspiring editions in Wageningen, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Maastricht, Open Science NL is once again bringing together the open science community for a day full of:
🔹 Interactive sessions on FAIR data, citizen science, open access, open education, open hardware & software, and recognition & rewards
🔹 A marketplace featuring tools, initiatives, and communities
🔹 Networking and discussion opportunities, under the motto: Meet, Share, Inspire, Care
✨ New this year: On October 23rd, a Barcamp organized by OSC-NL will kick things off: a great opportunity for community-driven, informal exchange.
🧩 Whether you're a researcher, policy advisor, data steward, educator, or support staff – this is the place to be if you care about the future of open research culture.
🏆 And this year’s highlight: the presentation of the Leo Waaijers Award – celebrating individuals or teams who have made an exceptional contribution to open science in the Netherlands 🎉Read more about nominations here: https://lnkd.in/emdNGsCK
