An OSC-NL Open Consultation Panel
On this page we share requests for input with the broader Open Science Community in the Netherlands. These can differ from ideas for national working groups to petitions and surveys or sticker slogans.
One of the aims of OSC-NL is to provide input to policy, infrastructure and services on a national level. We vocalise the opportunities and needs of those who put OS to practice. National stakeholders in the OS landscape ask us to provide input to policy, infrastructure and services but we also start up consultations or petitions ourselves if we feel this is needed.
If you want to be notified whenever we have new requests for input coming in, please let us know by clicking this button. OSC-NL will then contact you via email when a new consultation is published. We will also share consultations from other national stakeholders; this will always be mentioned. You are free to choose to fill in the consultations we share with you or not.
Open Consultations
This request is continuously open, because we want to hear from you what is on your mind!
What grabs more attention for Open Science than a well-placed sticker on your laptop, suitcase, or water bottle?
Put your creativity to the test and come up with a catchy phrase that sparks curiosity, inspires, or persuades others to explore Open Science.
You can submit just a slogan, or go all out and send in a full sticker design. Submit your idea by September 1st. Community voting opens on September 4th and closes on September 11th. The top three most-voted ideas will be printed and handed out at the Open Science Festival Barcamp on October 23rd!
Each winner will also receive 100 copies of their sticker—plenty to spread the message far and wide.
Visit the Sticker Contest Page for more information and to submit your idea!
In March 2024, during the Open Science Retreat in Schoorl, NL, participants came together to discuss a new ‘Narrative for sustainable Open Access’. This resulted in the following Call to Commitment, with over 400 signatories.
In january 2025, the petition and the list of the 408 first signatories is shared with the UKB Consortium, the Universities of the Netherlands and SURF who negotiate jointly with national and international publishers about licenses for digital information sources. We hope the support of these first signatories can inspire the negotiations.
If you want to add your name as well, you can still fill in the form below. for the petition text and the list of signatories see the Call to commitment.
